The AIDAstella was the last ship of the so-called Sphinx class to be built at the Meyer shipyard in Papenburg and has been in service for AIDA Cruises since 2013. The ship can accommodate 2,194 passengers. Decks 1 and 2 are reserved for the crew and other operational areas such as storerooms and engine room. To enable guests to move between decks in a relaxed manner, LUTZ Elevators built several elevator groups. They were adapted to the interior of the AIDAstella and bring passengers quickly and on time to the Captain's Dinner.
