ORION - Exclusive Expedition Ship
The expedition vessel MV Orion was built in 2003 and was renamed National Geographic Orion in March 2014. It's glass elevator within the staircase offers a great view of the interior.

The expedition vessel MV Orion was built in 2003 and was renamed National Geographic Orion in March 2014. It travelled to Arctica and Antartica, as it is classified in Ice Class: E3 (Germanischer Lloyd). The 100 meter long ship travels at top speed of 14 knots. 106 guests can enjoy expeditions. The Orion was built to the latest international safety regulations, including those of the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Public Health, Canadian Arctic Shipping and the St. Lawrence Seaway.
LUTZ Elevators built and assembled two elevators, one for small goods carrying 100 kilogramms between Tween Deck, Main Deck, Pool Deck. The elegant passenger lift is located in the stunning staircase and connects four decks. Its shipyard side shaft made of glass and wood accompanies the luxury interior of the vessel. The glass enables the passenger to enjoy the panoramic view of the staircase.
