Environmental Responsibility at LUTZ Elevators

For us, sustainability begins with responsibility for resources, energy, and emissions. That is why we focus on durability, reduced resource consumption and measures to lower energy use and emissions.

Actively Reducing CO₂ Emissions for Elevators

Reducing CO₂ emissions is a central part of our sustainability strategy. Especially in our service operations, we are gradually transitioning our fleet to electric mobility while continuously optimizing our logistics processes.

These measures have already enabled us to significantly reduce emissions per serviced elevator.

Using Energy Efficiently

Responsible energy management helps us reduce the energy consumption associated with our operations. That is why we invest in technologies designed to reduce building and operational energy consumption, including our photovoltaic installation.

In doing so, these measures contribute to reducing our purchased energy consumption and increasing the share of renewable electricity.

Recycling LUTZ Elevators
Conserving Resources and Closing Material Loops

We reduce packaging materials, increase recycling rates, and gradually rely on returnable solutions. With our reusable packaging concept for small and spare parts, we have significantly reduced packaging waste while reducing the amount of packaging waste generated by our internal logistics processes.

Overview of Environmental Measures at LUTZ Elevators

CO₂ savings with a measurable impact

For us, sustainability means translating responsibility into specific actions. We have identified measures that are expected to reduce CO₂ emissions, including the electrification of our vehicle fleet and measures to reduce electricity consumption. Based on our current calculations, the planned modernization of our vehicle fleet could reduce annual CO₂ emissions by approximately 130 tonnes compared with 2024. This is complemented by measures to reduce electricity consumption, optimised waste management and measures promoting lower-emission employee mobility, which together will save a further 70 tonnes of CO₂. In this way, we track progress against our defined environmental targets and report the results in our Sustainability Report.
